Good morning : )

Hi – Got busy last night prepping a room to paint so I didn’t get this posted but I thought I’d sneak it in before I head out for more paint!  These cards are both Old Olive, So Saffron, Whisper White and Basic Black.

To be honest, neither one of these seems to be really ‘me’…I like the color combination, but the cards aren’t working for me!  :0)   And to top it off, my husband said he didn’t much care for the bird card.  So it’s official from this household – I need do-overs!  What do you think?!  Anything worth salvaging here?!  I guess today I won’t say, “Hope you like them!” :0)  Thanks for stopping by though -

Almost In and Almost Out Colors!
Posted on June 22nd, 2009 @ 7:05 pm

Hi – Back to stamping after a busy weekend and the first official day of no school!  Now if only the sun would shine again…. Anywhooo, I thought I’d mix up some current In Colors and soon-to-be In Colors and make a card tonight.  I’ve used Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze and added Soft Suede.  The stamp set is Friends 24/7 and I actually used just that set!

The ribbon is also Soft Suede  – it’s polka dotted on the opposite side but I didn’t think the dots went with the look of this card so I tied it on backwards.  Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by -

PS – I think I need to retake the picture of this card…the colors don’t look true.  I’ll update tomorrow with a new photo!  Picture Edited – looks better now! :]

Friends 24-7 card
Posted on June 1st, 2009 @ 12:15 am

Hi – Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!  I was absent from the stamping room but I’m back at it now!  This is a quick card I made tonight as part of a set.  I made 6 base cards – 2 each in Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette.  They all have the Friendly Words jumbo wheel at the top on Kraft and the matching colored DSP from Bella Rose at the bottom.  They all have a ribbon across the center.  This one here has a medallion from the Gallery set and then nesting circles.  The 3 half pearls came from the Pretties kit.  The other cards are still waiting to see what they will get!  Thanks for stopping by!

Simple merci card
Posted on April 23rd, 2009 @ 11:30 pm

Hi – Just a quick post tonight to share the latest card in the “merci” stack.  I made two tonight but the other one, wasn’t quite right… It started out well, but tanked at the end.  Know what I mean?!  ugh…such potential… :]  Anyhow, this card isn’t so bad!  It’s Baja Breeze cardstock with Kraft, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.  I used the Friends 24-7 set to stamp on the Kraft with Versamark so it would be subtle.  The Curly Label punch is layered under the sentiment.  The ribbon is not from Stampin’ Up! but it matched too well not to use it!  I tied it with help twine and then threaded a flower button from the Button Latte collection in the center.  Let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks for stopping by -

“Merci” Cards
Posted on April 22nd, 2009 @ 12:54 am

Hi – I love the way these cards turned out!  They are very different but both are cheerful, I think.  The pink card uses the Gallery stamp set for the frame in the middle.  I cut it out and layered a pink 1-1/4 circle on it with the “merci” stamped in the center.  The flowers are felt with a rhinestone brad in the center.  I used the Friends 24-7 set to stamp the Chocolate Chip layer at the bottom.  The red card is Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss. The designer series paper is Bella Rose – a favorite!  The flowers are punched out with the Boho Blossoms punch and the retired Spring flower Bouquet punch.  I hope you like the cards too!  Thanks for stopping by -
