Scraps = layers!
Posted on August 19th, 2009 @ 9:13 am

Hi – Last night I was cleaning up my scrap container and came across several little pieces of Parisian Breeze DSP that I had cut into strips or run through the Big Shot.  I get a little lazy with scraps and tend to toss them in a tub and then sort them out by color when the tub starts to overflow! :0)  But I got distracted – as I often do – by these pieces and started putting them together on a card!  Here’s what I came up with:

newly imported 822

The colors are Baja Breeze, Kraft, Chocolate Chip and White.  The center heart is a chipboard piece that I embossed with white powder three times to give it a chunkier look.   The little “Thank You” stamp is from the Short & Sweet stamp set.  Hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping by -

Simple merci card
Posted on April 23rd, 2009 @ 11:30 pm

Hi – Just a quick post tonight to share the latest card in the “merci” stack.  I made two tonight but the other one, wasn’t quite right… It started out well, but tanked at the end.  Know what I mean?!  ugh…such potential… :]  Anyhow, this card isn’t so bad!  It’s Baja Breeze cardstock with Kraft, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.  I used the Friends 24-7 set to stamp on the Kraft with Versamark so it would be subtle.  The Curly Label punch is layered under the sentiment.  The ribbon is not from Stampin’ Up! but it matched too well not to use it!  I tied it with help twine and then threaded a flower button from the Button Latte collection in the center.  Let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks for stopping by -
