Patterned PinesPosted on November 15th, 2009 @ 3:07 pm
Hi – It’s been a busy week of prepping for kids classes
and stamp camps and I’m way past due on posting a sample or two! This card uses the Patterned Pines stamp set from the current mini catalog. I opted to use Baja Breeze ink on Whisper White cardstock instead of a more traditional green tree. I just now noticed that the top of the tree on the far right lines up with the snowflake on the background paper – ha! What a lovely coincidence! :0) The trees are dusted with Dazzling Diamonds glitter for a bit of sparkle. Click on the photo for a larger version. Very simple card to make. Just a strip of ribbon across the middle with no bow to fuss over. Hope you like it – I do! Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas filmstrip cardPosted on November 5th, 2009 @ 6:39 pm
Hi there – Today’s card is a filmstrip card. There are lots of examples
out there on the web. I thought the Sparkly and Bright stamp set would be a good match for the three little photo spots. I started with the snowflake stamp on the background in Versamark. The filmstrip piece is 5”x2¼”. I added the stick-on red rhinestones to each to sparkle it up a bit! This is a pretty fast and easy card – the hardest part is punching out the spiral edge on the strip! This is a good card for a stamp camp since lots of punches are used and the stamps are solid images, stamped in one color. For the sentiment I just inked it up in Real Red and wiped off the “may your season be” part with my finger and added Garden Green ink with my SU! marker. A little messy perhaps, but it works! :0) Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by –

Wood Sheet Card and MatchboxPosted on September 17th, 2009 @ 11:03 pm
Hi – Tonight’s card and matchbox feature the wood sheets in the new Idea Book & Catalog.
They are a bit like balsa wood backed with a white paper, but thin enough to cut with a paper trimmer and easy enough to run through the Big Shot. The card has the Dasher stamp in Chocolate Chip stamped right onto the wood sheet. I added a few tiny white beads on the antler swirls. The tag was cut from the matchbox die on the Big Shot. The box on the right is the matchbox die stamped with the snowflake from Winter Post. I added the brown felt ribbon around the outside edge along with a tag from the same wood sheet and a wire swirl hanger to make it like an ornament. Think of the small treats you could hide inside and then put it on your Christmas tree – what fun! Visit my Stampin’ Up! website to order a pack of the wood sheets for yourself! They are $9.95 for four 5¾x13¾” sheets. Hope you like them. Thanks for stopping by –
