Sweater trim Ideas

Hi there -  In the Holiday Catalog you'll find some new ribbons called Sweater Trim.  Comes in 3 colors:  Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green and Whisper White.  Kind of like a nice, thick yarn.  It ties into a bow very nicely and makes great pom-poms.  (see pages 12 and 32 in the Holiday Catalog)  I wanted to try something different so I decided to loop it over and over to make kind of a chain.  It makes it thicker and flattens it.  Here are the results -
For this Christmas card, I made the chain into a wreath. :)  This sticky pearls look like ornaments.  The ribbon at the top makes it for sure a wreath.  The sweater trim adds nice texture to the card.
The Cherry Cobbler sweater trim looks great as a heart!  I used the green Tombow glue to adhere it to the card.  Also added a little of the Crumb Cake tulle in a ruffle on one side.  I sponged the tulle first with a little Early Espresso ink to give it some depth.  I love the way this card turned out. :)
I'm adding this photo in even though it's not very clear.  I wondered what would happen if I looped 2 colors at the same time and ended up with this.  Looks like a candy cane - sort of!  If you keep the loops straight, I think the colors would alternate more evenly but I wasn't that specific.  Sometimes you just gotta go with the flow. :)

That's it!  Hope you liked these.  Holler if you have any questions!  Thanks for stopping by -
