Lattice Valentine Card

Hi there - Today's card is sooo simple to make since the Lattice die does all the work!
I just cut the lattice piece from a 4x4 piece of pink DSP and used it as the focal point for my card. The colors are safe, Valentinesy colors - Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and Pretty in Pink. I sponged the edges a bit and used the PS I Love You set for the sentiment and the background of one of the little heart accents. If you need a quick card for any occasion, this might be the way to go! Any color scheme would work and you could trade out the hearts for butterflies or even buttons. Hope you like it! Oval Frame Valentine Card

Hi there - Today's card has two looks to it - a simple, shabby version and then a fancier version with more details on it.  I called them Valentine's cards but really they could be used any time.

I used Pool Party as the base for both cards and Everyday Enchantment DSP for the oval frames.  I just reversed the frames and centers.  The butterflies are from the little butterfly embosslit.  And the brads and ribbon are part of the Sale-a-bration!  Who doesn't love free stuff!  I hand cut the notches out of the end of the pennants because I wanted them to be a little off center.  They are glue-dotted to the hemp twine.  Both were sponged with Soft Suede around the edges.  For the second card, I stepped up the details a bit.  I embossed the card base with the dots folder.  I added 2 scrunched flowers, changed 2 of the pennants to DSP, added ribbon bows and curled the ends of the hemp.  (Easy to do:  just get the hemp damp and wrap it around your paper piercer until it is dry!)

I think I'll be making more of these using the other patterns of DSP in the Everyday Enchantment pack!  Hope you like them!
