Thanksgiving Treats for Friends

Hi - Here are some little treat packages I put together using the Top Note die.

I just scored it into thirds and folded the two ends up to make a spot to cradle a cello bag of goodies.  I did put glue dots on the side of the cello to hold the Top Note front and back in place.  I used the Spice Cake DSP - still my favorite. : ) Inside the bags I put almond toffee and chocolate covered almonds - hard to go wrong there!  A little strip of Spice Cake fabric tied to the top of the cello just adds another layer of texture.  These would be really lovely at each place setting for Thanksgiving.  Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by -

The flowers Kirstin, how did you make those?

HI Louisa!
To make the flowers, I punched a strip with the Lace Ribbon Border punch. Then I cut out 4 flowers from the strip. Then stacked them on top of each other, put a brad through the middle. Then I spritzed them with a water bottle to get them damp, not soaking. When they are damp, scrunch the flowers up - individually, not all flowers at once. Then set aside to dry. Once dry, I sponged the top edges with a dauber. You can do the same technique with any flower punch, really. Just stack them, brad them together, dampen them and scrunch! When dry they hold their positions. That's a long explanation for a pretty simple process. :)

I do like the scrunched look flowers. Colour combinations can make or break, I have found...tee hee. Still trying. L
