Little houses in a row…

This is card #2 using the Welcome Neighbor DSP pack and the Good Neighbors stamp set.  Picture or Video 196 The paper has the houses and the clouds on it already.  I stamped the roof pieces and extra clouds, cut them out and then popped them up on dimensionals.  The colors are Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Kraft with a bit of Soft Suede thrown in with the ribbon.  The twine piece ties the darker shade of brown back to the Kraft card base.  I kind of like the way the roof pieces aren’t exactly straight – gives them a bit of personality!  I think this would make a good card to give someone who is moving into a new house or moving away from your neighborhood.  Hope you like it!

Back from the edge of the earth!

That’s the answer to, “Where have you been?!”  I’m back from falling off the edge of the earth.  :0)   I could explain it all but I’m sure you’d rather just see a card and get on with it!!   My oh-so-wise stampin’ buddy Julie has this thing she does with new stampPicture or Video 193 sets she gets – she puts the set together and then makes 5 things – cards or projects – with the set right away.  Sort of a getting acquainted tradition, I like to think.  So that’s what leads me to today’s card… It’s one of 5 I made using the “Welcome Neighbor” DSP pad and the “Good Neighbors” stamp set from Sale-a-bration.  The papers coordinate wonderfully with the stamps!  The colors are kraft, Taken with Teal and Old Olive.  The focal piece and the striped piece are both from the paper pack.  I added the buttons to the tree and a little white taffeta ribbon.  A very easy card since only the sentiment and mini tree are stamped!  Hope you like it.
